Week 7
We
welcomed back our Indoor Junior League up in the Scunthorpe area, in
partnership with Clixby Active Pro Sports Ltd.
No change in the table standings for the U11's as the hybrid Haxey Cricket Club Newsfeed & Normanby Park Cricket Club (238/2) beat Alkborough Cricket Club (203/5) by 35 runs. This leaves Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs 2 points clear at the top.
The
U13 League has been blown wide open following Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs
(232/5) coming out victorious against the previously unbeaten Outcasts
Cricket Club (219/5). Outcasts Cricket Club remain top
of the table on 6 points with Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs & Haxey
Cricket Club Newsfeed/ Normanby Park Cricket Club just behind on 4 points.
Following last night's results, this leaves Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs U11's as the only unbeaten team across both leagues - can they maintain their charge?????
Great start back after the half term break 😍🏏
Week 8
Last night saw Round 8 of our U11 & U13 (North) Winter Indoor League, proudly sponsored by Clixby Active Pro Sports Ltd.
It was an evening of firsts with both the hybrid U13 Haxey Cricket Club Newsfeed/ Normanby Park Cricket Club & the U11 Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs not conceding a wicket in their respective games 👏👏
U11 Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs (268/0) beat U11 Alkborough Cricket Club (240/3) by 28 runs. A great team performance with the bat & a solid fielding display, saw them extend their unbeaten run at the top of the table. Indeed if Broughton Cricket Club - Lincs come out victorious in next week's fixtures, they will be crowned League winners - can Haxey Cricket Club Newsfeed/ Normanby Park Cricket Club spoil the party???
Credit must also go to a young Alkborough Cricket Club side, who delivered their best performance of the league thus far.
U13 Haxey Cricket Club Newsfeed/ Normanby Park Cricket Club (263/0) beat U13 Outcasts Cricket Club (215/10) convincingly. As the scoreline suggests, a very strong team performance with both bat & ball, now puts Haxey Cricket Club Newsfeed/ Normanby Park Cricket Club in the driving seat. Indeed if they win 2 out of their 3 remaining games they will be crowned League champions.
